lol india aint behind technology, ps3 is also available there, india is still developing games for ps2 that way ps2 is still alive in india.
As for making games not many countries have developers so they are quite ahead atleast.

Completely wrong statement there.Ps3 is very popular here in India and the ps3 community is growing everyday.We even have midnight game launches now lol.
Anyways, the reason ps2 is still popular in India is because the console and the games are really cheap,thus making it an easy choice for people who are new to console gaming.
