    Default esr problem

sorry if im being a pain in the @xx,
here is my problem, ive downloaded a couple games from different sources.
my ps2 is a v4 30001 ntsc, i patched the games with esr patcher prior to buring them, i try to load them from esr,and esr comes up the disc spins for a bit and then in the box on bottom it says unknown media in drive,my media is verbatim DVD-R i used imgburn a 8x, im not sure but i think it my be my laser in the ps2,although i did use a burned disc to do the 007 night fire install,im still not sure why i cant load backup iso's. any help would be much apprecated,
also i have a slim ps2 dont know the model cause i dont have a power cord for it,i guess im gonna have to pay the 20bucks for the power cord,

I recommend using Open PS2 Loader either for USB or internal HDD on your fat ps2, that way you can still get use out of it even if the laser completely dies.
