    Ive got 7 years on my fat ps2 it is seriously my best console. Most of its broken from moding the case but it still runs games fine.

    My PS2 is broken too! I installed a mod chip in it and it worked great for about a month, but then it started giving me the disc read error one day. I turns out that I fried the BA or LA chip on the motherboard, and I have no idea how this could have happened maybe a static electric shock to the memory card slot?

    If your going to buy a laser, make sure its new. Whats the point in buying a used one whch probably has little life left in it. Search Ebay and buy one new from there. I bought a laser for $50 on ebay, I installed it, and my PS2 runs perfect.

    To be honest, I would just buy a new PS2. Its really not worth trying to fix a broken one.

    wats the point i already no how to fix one, besides iam so bloody bored out of my mind and my PARENTS RETURNED MY SICK AS LAPTOP :'( back to the PS1 i fixed for my little sis :ThAnKs:
