Thread: What exactly are undubs?

I'm new, so i'm getting used to everything. I'm curious as to what exactly undubbed games are, and what is their impact on English-speaking players?

Undubs are generally the American version of the game that has it's voice track completely replaced with the original Japanese one.
Other than having better voice acting there is no change in the game.

lol, i posted this thread after I read your signature, but before you responded to my pm.

and unfortunately for me, I don't speak japanese, so if the game doesn't have subtitles, it's like watching foreign tv...cool, because it's different...but what the hell are they saying? lol.

So far all the undubs I've seen have had subtitles except for the first version of the Persona 4 undub which they forgot the subtitles in the cut scenes.
