Lightbulb Problem with generic memory cards

I have a generic Ps2 memory card with 64mb of memory. I have noticed that the card slows down, if not stops the loading of several games. Also some games wont even let you save to the card. Still have about half of the space left on the card as well. Just thought this may help or be usefull to someone!

Thanks for the heads up, I was actually thinking of getting one of those. Did anyone else have issues with them?

I did too run into this problem with generic memory cards. I had about 10 of them sitting around collecting dust(they came in a set when i bought a lot of PS2 consoles). Anyhow, they were all messed up, some would freeze or not work at all. Well one day I found a great program called "MC KILLER". Downloaded, burned it and put it in my PS2 with the memory card in it. To my surprised all of my memory cards were working like new. It's a great tool. I also found out that most of the cards that said 64MB were actually 8MB. Hey, 8MB is better than NO MB. Also just in case you don't know what this tool does(It lets you re-format your memory card and gets rid of all corrupted files ect).
