Thread: Random Thoughts n' Ideas for PS2 games/custom games

Ok here is just some stuff i have benn thinking about, and i was just hoping that some people could help me out with some of this. So heres a list of my random thoughts and ideas

1. Transfer Platforms? (turn other platform games into PS2 games)

I was wondering if it would at all be possable to take a... lets say Xbox or computer game and change the file types and blah.. blah.. blah.. and burn a game playable on the ps2? Not too farfetched of an idea is it?

2. Custom Game CDs?

Well with games like RPG Maker and Fighter Maker and games like that, i was wondering if it would at all be possable to take a game you made and some how produce that game on other CDs (without having to use the memory card to load your game) or something like that

3. Programs To Make Your Own PS2 Games?

Ive recently gotten into game design and i was wondering if there are any programs out there where you can some how turn the game you made into an ISO file and burn them to be played on a PS2? Anyone have a clue on that?

4. Editable Games?

Anyone know of any editable or customizable games out there? Ive already redeveloped my own GH2 game pretty easily and i was wondering if there are any other games that could be edited and customized.

5 Run Programs Through A PS2
Any computer programs out there that could be played on a PS2? Like for example (I realize that this would be impossable, its just an example of what i mean) It would be awesome to run Microsoft Word on a PS2, haha. Or any way to develop programs that could be played on a PS2 that could give them entirely new functions, besides for just gaming. Like for example data or text storage!


These are just some of the thousands of ideas going through my head! If anyone has any info or comments about any of these please dont heisitate to post! =P

Lol yup! But alot of times i put it to good use. I have thought of stuff like this and figured it out before. Hell, i got real creative when i made my own guitar hero game. I changed so much crap in it, its completely unique. Im thinking i should try and sell it! Lol =P

I'd prob want to make a music game like 'Frequancy', 'Gitaroo Man', or 'Amplitude', or 'Rock Band Unplugged'.


Then again, how about taking 3D games and giving the old school treatment?
Mario Galaxy in the SMBW format? Win.
FF8 in the FF6 style? Win.
Persona 3 in the CT style? Win.
DMC in the Castalvania style? Win.

Probably a game like FFX or God of War..Creating a game like gears of war and uncharted could be fun too...Not interested in making FPS games though.

I just like playing them. If companies change anything it should be the price of the game! Its a fact that the past ten years video game companies have doubled there profit each year! Thats why I like this site so much...LOL!!! Thanks PS2ISO.net!!!
