Thread: .hack series

I'm a fan of the anime series and i was planning to get the entire .hack series. But considering the number of games (7 or 8?) i'm hesitating to do so. Also is the series like the phantasy star games on the ps2? Because i was deeply disapointed with that game. If i do get them what order should i play first? And why is that only the GU series have an undub and not the other .hack games?

It doesn't matter which series you start with but if you want to learn more about "The World" then you should play the 4 part volume of .hack. It's not a bad game but it's not great. It's a pretty short game IIRC.

If you finished that then I suggest you watch .hack//roots before you begin playing .hack//GU. You don't need to but it's a good anime and may pique your interest in playing the game.

.hack series are great. you dont have to start playing from part 1. but if you play from the first .hack, you can keep your game data from the previous game (items, levels, weapons ect).
