Thread: Incredible Hulk PS2 review

What do you get when you put up a video game adaption of one this summer's blockbuster movies? CRAP! I am a big comic book fan and I loved the new Incredible Hulk movie cause not only did it have action but it resembled the comics very well. So when I heard a game based on the movie was coming out I was pretty excited. With Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction being a huge success I thought it would be similar gameplay but I was wrong...........


Story
The game follows the plot very loosely. Like many other comic book games they try to add comic elements to the the movie game plot. You are Bruce Banner, a scientist try to recreate the Super Solider formula and decided to test it on yourself but some went wrong and now you are a monster. The story is okay it just adds so many people and not tell you something about them.

Gameplay
IH:UD is (IMO) one of the best comic book games of all time so I thought this new one would be similar but I was wrong.(Deja Vu ) The gameplay is horrible! Edge of Reality (the guys ported to the PS2) wanted to add realism to this game and not make Hulk do crazy stuff. WTF were you thinking? One of the things that made IH:UD special was the fact that you can do crazy and creative moves. IN this games the Hulk doesn't even do a 3 hit combo! The only redeeming thing about think is that you can destroy every building.

Graphics
I have never been someone who complains alot about graphic but this is just horrible. Every building looks horrible and Hulk looks like if Shrek and the Hulk from the 2003 movies had a child he didn't get enough oxygen when he was born! The cutscenes are awful and drwaing distance is just (starts crying) Lets just move on....

Sound
Well the actors in the movie voice the character they play in the movie. They sound like robots. It just goes to show you that even do the actor does a pretty good job playing them doesn't mean they can voice them in a video game adaption. (I'm looking at you Toby Macguire)
