sup bluesmoke thanks for your upload. just one question, i would like to know how you were able to change the names of the songs you added and who it was performed by. appreciate your help!

I burned it at 4x on memorex dvd-r with no probs, maybe try reburning at a different speed. Sometimes games do that to me and thats what I do and it usually works.

No problem dude, you have to download guitar hero dtb editor 1st

Using ghex, click the plus sign to expand config, expand gen, then find songs.dtb right click on it and extract it.

Open up the dtb editor and it gives you the list of the orginal songs in the game and the artist, as performed by is a box you can check/uncheck. Changing it is as simple as replacing ordinary text. I kept ghex open so I could cross reference the songs I added with the original songs.
Also here is where you can select which character plays which instrument and which venue during quickplay games.

After you've changed ALL the text save the file. Only save it once or it will be corrupted and the game will freeze.

Once you've saved it, open up ghex find the songs.dtb file and right click on it and choose to replace the file. Select the dtb file you saved from the dtb editor and that's it.

Replacing load screen texts, is also done this way except it is a different dtb file, but if memory serves me, all of the .dtb files are located under the config/gen folder.

thanks it works great! but some songs are desynched just to let you know

it worked for a year, and someone yesterday said it works fine... re-download that part without the manager.

thanks for d help.. but i downLoaded it with firefox.. but it's the same.. stuck up at 33% with1,377,576KB ..

ok then that's not a corrupted file, it's an issue with the server. Try it again in a day or two, it should work then. It's on the filehost's side, so there's not much that can be done for that.
