Go and buy a graphics card. A decent one preferably.

And are you sure you want your email address as your screen name? Want someone to change it? I really would, especially if someone set a spam bot on this forum...

If you turn frameskip on you should get full speed with your cpu, even if it's jumpy sometimes. But you will need a new vid card. Wouldn't go lower than 7800/8800 GTS 320 for nvidia and x1800 pro/HD3850 for AMD.

And you don't need to make a new account. Just say what you want it changed to

alright cool, thanks man, i really appreciate it. regarding my account name, i dunno, make it something classy, like neutered goat or whatever crafty little creation you can come up with, have fun with it. also, im assuming since i'm running vista that i should use pcsx2t, if this is incorrect please let me know but if it's right you don't need to post back. once again thanks and have a good one.

haha alright, although now i do have one more quick question though (sorry). i threw my roommates nvidia geforce 8500 gt into my computer and the game is running full speed about 85% of the time with frame skip, but with both video cards (my old crappy one and this new one) im seeing very large chunks of background not there, always in the form of large or small triangles. the characters and objects such as ships always appear perfect, but it is always the background. is it the game's problem, the emulator's, or a hardware issue?

If you're using ZeroGS, go into the ZGS options and tick the box that says "FFX Hack"

If you're using GSDx then keep clicking NLOOP Hack til it's greyed out.

And I recommend you switch to GSDx... FFX looks awesome on it after you turn the resolution up, and it's far lighter on the GPU.

ya i've got the resolution cranked up to 1400x900 on GSDx, it looks awesome. i just figured out through trial and error that if i check the GSDx NLOOP Hack box to black instead of gray it works 100%. i guess my computer doesn't know when to use it if its checked on auto. but ya, its smooth and good looking now, a tad slower, but i'm not complaining. thanks again for the help.

hey its me again, had to make a new account due to the last one being dumb about opening forums. anyways, when i run GSDx on the game it runs beautifully until the in-game videos start. from there, its a skipping 13-14 fps session that makes me want to seizure and foam from the mouth when i see it. i tried every possible combination of checks and no checks on GSDx and deinterlace gets rid of the strobe effect, but it still runs at 13-14fps on the videos. with ZeroGS the graphics don't look as good as they do with GSDx but the videos run smoothly. is there any kind of fix to this problem or am i bound to using ZeroGS for this game? also, on kingdom hearts im trying to configure the control but no matter what i do it makes move forward and up on the action menu the same button either using the keyboard or my xbox 360 controller. any advice on either issue?
