Thread: Swap Magic 3.8 Coder (PAL/NTSC) (ELF Version)

SM3.8 allows booting backups from a homebrew enabled PS2. Download the elf to your usb stick, hdd, mc etc and run it. This works especially well on games where Cogswaploader doesn't. And it supports Action Replay Codes!!!
It doesn't matter what region your PS2 or your game is.

You'll need the independence exploit to run this. For info on FMCB read this, for info on uLaunchElf read this. If you know how to run ELFs then do I need to explain?

i know i sound like an idiot but can u give a better description? Is this like a sustitue for the swap magic where you put it on your usb drive and just load it? and what about action replay codes? does this count for action replay saves?

This is the SM that you put on a usb drive, memory card or hdd. But 3.8 ithe latest version and not all people have this version.
And I think you can convert action replay codes to work with this. Saves don't work with this but you could always d/l an elf of ar max and put it on a usb stick or d/l the iso, burn it and load it with swap magic and from there uncrush it.
EDIT yes yes, you can convert AR MAX codes to run on it.

What is swap majic for? Can i just put in a burned iso from here and play it without a modchip?

This version is for the people who have modded their ps2's with the independance exploit and can run homebrew, but also want an easy way to run pirate games.

You need a way of copying files from a usb stick to a memory card and a ps1 game, most will work. THis mods your ps2 memory card with the independance exploit.

It allows you to launch ELF files, which are like EXEs but for a ps2. Swap magic is one such elf that allows you to run backups.
