you copy/paste the elf on your MC with uLaunchElf, then also with uLaunchElf open FMCB config and select the path to the new elf... you can also assign a controller shortcut if you want

Hmm, I tried this and all it does is restart back into FMCB. Well, it starts swap magic with no problem. But when the game should start (Pal, default, Ntsc), it boots back into FMCB (FMCB Logo). Maybe, I don't know how to set something right.

Swap Magic & ESR But mostly through esr. There are some games that I have that require swap magic and will not work with esr. I got tired of swapping disks. So I DLed the elf. I copied the elf to mc from flash drive and the rest as you said. Swap magic started up fine, as if it were going to work. I click boot and nothing. It goes back to FMCB and then the browser.

you still need to enable the console to boot a backup... Swap Magic Elf will not do that, so you still have to go through ESR. It's normal if it brings you back to the menu.

Swap Magic 3.8 Coder has the ability to enable cheats, much like Codebreaker elf.

Hello mate, thanks very much for uploading this. I just modded my PS2 last
week and wish I'd done it years ago. I got 3.8 swap magic retail, then used
a "noob package" to format my mem card and put ulauncher, elf loader hdloader
and a few others on it. Can I add this ELF to my mem card by just copying it
and will it just show up in the free mcboot menu when I do? Can i use it to replace my disk swaping and will it work with DVD's and CD's.

I know I'm asking a lot and thank you for your help.

You can just copy it, but you'll have to open the FMCB Config file to specify the path so it appears in the PS2 menu. It will work for Cds and DVDs. It doesn't replace the disc swapping, it's only for cheats.

If you don't want to swap discs you could use ESR Launcher, it should be with the Noobie Package you installed. That only works on patched DVDs, but CD games can be converted.
