The tool includes software to create and verify master discs and master packages.

Readme:

This package is a tool package consisting of software for creating
and verifying master discs and master packages, to be used for
submitting PlayStation(R)3 titles.

The Generator Tools package includes the following ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

• Disc Image Generator for PlayStation(R)3
• - System File Utility for PlayStation(R)3

Note:-- This tool is in the full SDK, not sure if its the same version, but its there.

No, this tool only allow ripping the masterdiscs, such as the ones TB uses, if this works like DJBUBBA claims, and hopefully it does, then someone with the TB discs can rip them and post them online, so other TB users can burn them themselves, the dongle is still needed however, since the EBoots are still encrypted. All your doing is taking data from one disc to another.

This might hopefully force TB team's hands to stop selling BD-R discs, and stick to HDD Eboots.

this is only useful for the following:
Truecrap dongle
debug consoles

Believe me, I did PLENTY of research on this, and it won't work unless you have one of the above.

also, unless you already have the debug eboots, this is COMPLETELY useless. That's the only way to make a masterdisk run...without a debug eboot, it's just an unsigned retail disk....exactly the same as the disk the developer sends to sony to be signed & pressed. Until sony presses it & signs it, you can't do anything with it....even with a retail eboot inserted.

BTW, this is missing the feature that allows you to create masterdisk hdd packages....the same rules apply to this feature that apply to the bd feature. Unless it's got a debug eboot & is signed, it's useless.
