Can that second NOR be on 3.55? That would mean people with consoles that can't go further back than 3.65 can have CFW then, right?

there is no seldering, i have the old e3 flasher, should i buy a new one or i just have to install some new files to it?

nope, you actually just plug one part into your ps3 mother board (on you nad/nor chip) and the other part where your hard drive goes. theres plenty of tuts on youtube for doing this sort of thing

None of the slim model require soldering.
The fat models which have NAND require soldering while those that have NOR dont.
There is a compatibility list on a site called ChristechTV just google it and search for e3 flasher. There is also a very detailed tutorial.
