yes thats right this morning i got "Crash Bandicoot 2 Cortex Strikes Back" (only tried this one game) working on a PS3 that had no PSN account and was on F.W 4.00 ......
to do this you need a PS3 on CFW 3.55 and use the data transfer utility to move the data to the ps3 on 4.00
i tried to use the backup & restore but it wont restore the games for some reason but data transfer utility works !!!!
first of all connect the two ps3 with a ethernet cable then on the 3.55 ps3 go to the settings menu
then system settings
then data transfer utility
hit OK
then choose option 1
now it will ask if you have the other ps3 linked up hit OK
now go to the second ps3 (F.W 4.00 or any F.W up to 4.00)
go to the settigs menu
then system settings
then data transfer utility
hit OK
now pick option 2
it will inform you that everything on the ps3 will be formatted so make sure you have nothing of value on your ps3 hdd (game saves!!!) and dont forget to deactivate your ps3 system if you play online 1st before this stage
also there is a method to use data transfer utility online so people who dont have a second ps3 on CFW can still do it
SO if you only have 1 ps3 on OFW 4.00 you can use this method

i take no credit for this its all thanks to

So, this method supposedly only works with the exetrimall releases, and once done you can then use the games online or not?
the link for only one console doesn't work :(
well if it's true , i think that we could reedit some games to work like the psn ones and then play then them on ofw 4.00
it's definitly better then TB , then everyone could play games higher then 3.55 on ofw 4.00 and still have the backups![]()
even if it would work, they won´t release their cracking method....
wow is this posibru?
posibru means "testis of an elephant" in arabic.
