Thread: PS Vita Firmware Update 1.51

[From 27 December 2011 and began updating the system software version 1.51.

Meanwhile in the other side of the PS Vita scene, PSP Developer Wololo discovered this update this morning, when he connected his PS Vita to his computer in order to transfer some files, in order to be allowed to transfer those files, he was met with a forceful update, no updating, no transfering files, here is what the developer said on his blog:

Today as I was using the PS Vita “content manager” in order to copy some files to the PS Vita, the content manager refused to start until I updated my firmware to official update 1.510. (This literally happened 10 minutes ago)

What surprises me is that the vita was disconnected, so I am assuming the update order came from the client on my PC (Update: confirmed. And the Vita refuses to run the content manager if the PC is not connected to the net).

This doesn't seem like that big of a deal. They can just do what saurik did when iTunes starting having to go through Apple's servers first before a downgrade to prevent downgrading. Just have it look at a different server. Its all gotta be in the Program Files.

Already with security updates? God damn..

Why don't they spend more time actually fixing their **** before releasing it?

OH cuz the hackers can find out what's wrong with it for free and then they just force you to update before the hacks go mainstream. >_>

MY GOD Sony's screwing this device before we even get our hands on it!! (Unless you live in Japan/you've imported the Vita).
