Thread: PSFreeze a.k.a 4.00 OFW is downgradeable with Progskeet

It seem that people who have PSFreeze problems can downgrade to 3.55 with Progskeet. It's better than having a useless firmware for a device that is coming 2 months later and frequent freezing when doing anything.

so i can downgrade my ps3 slim cech 3000? from 4.00 to 3.55? or just the old ps3? and is there a download for this? sorry noob here

All fats and all slims that came preloaded with 3.55 or before 3.55.

no cech3000 models. they were on stock 3.66. maybe they can downgrade to 3.73 to avoid freeze or 3.66 which is useless

after downgrade to 3.55, does it allow us to install any cfw?

I love all the surprise from people in response to finding out sony messed up writing firmware lol....sony couldn't write PROPER firmware to save their lives, but I guess some people still have to figure this out for themselves

some are just that ignorant, that they would never see anything what is happening out there. the longer i read those forums the easier i see.
but i still like the state from failoverflow, that sony would never secure this thing again.... well they did. only 2 fw-revs later.



btw: it was a very helpful work of them showing sony exactly what they did wrong, so the company´s hackers could fix it in no time.

Sony is sometime at the highest stupidity level.What now comes in my mind atm is "In order to stop a hacker you need to read his brain in advance" Sony is somewhat trying to play that game but it simply isn't working ,throwing out useless firmware which doesn't include any major addition and as always useless patches which in the end give us more loopholes to pwn their asses once again.Guess there you see one more engineer out of job hahahaha

nice to here this. but you can downgrade to 3.55 OFW and use homebrew and pkg but u cant install CFW
