Thread: PSN store bug - Assassin’s Creed 2 and Brotherhood for free with firmware v4.00

Jimmy One has informed us, via email, about a PSN store bug that allows you to download Assassin’s Creed 2 and Brotherhood for free. In order for this to work, you’ll need a PS3 with firmware v4.00 and a PSN account. However, we cannot confirm whether this actually works.

Before you start … First you have your updated with the new PS3 firmware 4.00 sony official … have a Spanish bank account on playstation network (if you have not create it fast you really do not know how long this lasts Plasystation Bug Store) without further details were I leave you with explanatory video…

Tutorial (roughly translated):
-Installed firmware v4.00 on your ps3
-Have or create psn account
-Enter PSN Store
-Search anniversary section for Ubisoft
-Select Assassins Creed (2 and Brotherhood, is the same procedure) you give the test download game for free … once you start to download the GATES … now go -back and select the game Assassin’s Creed which is full of pay and Buala! download left without paying …
-Set it to download in the background
-Leave the store
-Go to manage transactions and search for “Downloads” and again to download background.
-Put it on the option that says “turn off the system when finished downloads” and you hit ok

So to get this, you need to make a SPANISH bank account, and set it up with your PSN account?

is that so Duplex already have ASSASSIN 2 , and good news is that we can play it via internal I tried many time but fail to run 2xASS run internally :D

yeah i will update from 3.55 to 4.0 to play these games which are available on 3.55 anyway

Now this, is pathetic. They can't even stop their legit users from getting free games. What happened to FW QA?

I gave it a go, the free demo option is gone so if it did work it doesnt now.

If you cant confirm this works why even get peoples hopes up, at least should be in general chat until confirmed as real news... but honestly has no business at all being posted if not checked out first. pathetic and inconsiderate.
