Thread: More alleged GTA V leaks

It seems like barely a few days can go by before we stumble across more GTA V "leaks". This time the alleged insider information is quite comprehensive...

- The lead will be a 30 something black man
- GTA V will be four times bigger than GTA IV, with settings including countryside, a forest and beaches. It apparently takes as much as 15 minutes to get from the centre of the game's city to the forest on its outskirts. Tasty.
- The game features all new animations and visuals, which will mark a big improvement on those found in GTA IV.
- Responsiveness has been greatly improved.
- There are more than 100 important, or semi-important non-playable characters.
- There are no children in the game, and apparently there never will be.
- Animals will feature in the game environment for the first time.
- Players can choose to hijack planes.
- Cars need to be refuelled.
- Players can blow up cars by shooting a trail of gasoline.
- You can use random civilians as a human shield.
- The weather will affect gameplay.
- Social mini games are gone, but games like basketball and weight training are necessary to build player stamina.
- You can take part in underground cage fights and arm wrestling competitions.
- Your character's skills controlling vehicles will improve with experience.
- You can make home made weapons.
- You can lock doors and barricade yourself into buildings.
- Cops will use tear gas, attack dogs and riot gear among other items. Pursuits will be more realistic.
- Weapons available include remote mines, flamethrowers, trip wires, claymores, swords and axes.
- The game will feature large scale interior environments which include shopping malls, hospitals, police stations and sprawling underground sewers.

Sounds good right? Hopefully the information above is accurate, because from what has come out so far it really looks like Rockstar are putting the over the top fun back into the series that GTA IV was sorely missing at times.

this isn't a leak. it's a list of speculation to get more visitors on the source site.

The fueling part, there were rumors about it being implemented in GTAIV, but it never happened. Sounds a bit limiting the GTA experience if they do that...imo

they made you fuel CJ in GTA;SA. though I also don't see this happening.
I am hoping for more comical gameplay like in the games before IV where you could find an RPG in a barn and chop people up with a combine harvester.

I wanna be able to do drive bys in a plane

Thats true

But they took that feature out of GTAIV as well right? Havent gotten the chance to play it yet ;x.

yeah, GTA IV is mostly about driving and piloting helicopters. there are no planes or parachutes.

I want my dual wielding uzis back!! I have to admit, though...police dogs and a more realistic fugitive feature sounds really awesome!! I would love to see that. Running from the GTA cops is one of my favorite things to do!! I've literally spent hours running from and getting in shootouts with cops....then when I get away I find another 5-0 to smash into and I run again lol

Why is it so important, what exact new features the game will have?

Isn't it much more fun to find out for yourself ?
You gain nothing, if you now up front, that you can e.g. built bombs or weapons, or fly planes.

I still know how amazing it was, when i first found out that it is possible to fly a plane in Just Cause 2 - a spoiler would have ruined it.
