We have noticed some people are still complaining E3 FLASHER LIMITED high price of $88, I think they ignore the following facts.

E3 FLASHER LIMITED comes complete working out of the box with all EIGHT accessories:

2: Universal screwdriver, about another $3 USA on Amazon.
3: E3 FLASHER Limited will be well-packaged for shipping in solid foam filled box! (A few more dollars, but it protects all your valuable hardware)

Ok, so at least so far you can see the full high price of $88- $34 - $3 - ?? = leaves you at least with only $50 left!

This means you get full 1 key downgrade and working complete true Dual Boot Function with similar price as other namebrand flashers!

Q1: What's the E3 flasher Limited?
The E3 Flasher Limited is an universal programmer for all NAND/NOR flash device. It support PS3 slim console better because E3 flasher limited has 16M NOR flash memory , and with soft board to connect SLIM console easier, and also this limited version include 8 accessory like ESATA STATION. Sure it also support NAND flash console&device .

Q2: How about installation for fat and slim ps3 console?
The limited version need solder 34 wires on NAND FLASH FAT CONSOLE, it need use E3 LINKER.
The limited version need solder 50 wires on NOR FLASH FAT CONSOLE,it need use E3 LINKER.
The limited version need solder some points on NOR FLASH SLIM CONSOLE, no need any wire.

Q3: How many Harddisk we need? What function with E3 Esata Station?
As fact, you no need any extra HD because you can take out ps3 internal HD and put into E3 esata station. It will play like internal HD. Every time if you change FW, you will be required fomat and upgrade. So if you want get more function like dual boot and fast switch FW function, you need prepare another HD for another FW, just like you will get 3.7HD for 3.7FW, 3.55HD for 3.55FW, all will be regards as internet HD. With E3 esata station, the internal HD size can be MAX to 2.5T, compatiable 2.5&3.5' HD with MAX to 3G speed , and also works 4GB+ game well ,this means no need USB HD anymore.

Q4: If we will get problem with PSN if switch to 3.7?
Some guy say there has unique ID inside original PS3 NOR FLASH, so it will get problem if you choose another NOR FLASH memory. We don't think so because you can keep original PS3 NOR FLASH with 3.7OFW, so even you connect to PSN, it will find you are original, change nothing! Sure you can keep 3.55CFW on E3 NOR FLASH.

Q5: Do we need any software and PC?
No, you no need install any software, no need any PC to operation. You get all function on E3 FLASHER itsself. just press key on E3 FLASHER COVER BOARD and wait few min or few second..

Q6: If PS3 upgrade to new firmware, does E3 FLASHER works again?
We can't promise but will do best to work and provide to all free, you shoud trust E3DIY team.

Q7: Which version PS3 can downgrade and dual boot?
We find all FAT console works , most slim console works even include some new slim console which come with 3.56+ original FW. We find 3000X version console can programme correctly but can't downgrade and dual boot, we will do best to work it out and provide to all free.
There should also be pictures of the E3 LINKER the latest addition from them to make usage of this on the FAT PS3 Consoles, but I having problems uploading the picture, after finally got the manual to upload here, as sadly the E3DIY team is still having website overload issues.

Very interesting....popping the HD in and out reminds me of the ol' snes/n64 days loll...Not sure if this was asked before but....will this work with just 3.70 or all future OFW ???

Technically there's no reason why it shouldn't be supporting all future OFW. Unless $ony get really cracking on this is working..but I bet team-E3 and Team Cobra will keep updating and working on new features/support!

If that's the case than buying this would be a whole lot more convenient than buying another ps3....depending on how tough the install process would be.

Wait so all this is still all for 88 dollars great deal and their is no solidering required right

my ps3 model is cechh (40GB phat), We will release 2 new version E3 FLASHER at the end of this month.
* One is 256M NAND flash on board and with CLIP, to get dual boot and no solder function.
* Another is same as present E3 FLASHER but with CLIP, so all NOR flash console no need any solder at that time. (sure cost will higher)(source e3)

isn't this solderless already, though? it looks like it just plugs into some mainboard connectors from the pics. I've never seen a softboard get soldered before....it would melt lol

this is meant to be used in the slim consoles. that's why you need to change the drive(vflash) the fat console needs to be soldered as of now.

maybe they are soldering using a really low melting point metal. or they just mixed mercury with the lead and tin.

according to them it is solderless on the slim console.


though I would recommend waiting until they(or someone else) does another run of production and wait until all of the bugs are fully worked out. remember waninikoko's CFW?

o.o tts some cool work! but it requires u to open up ur ps3 rite?

im guessing so if you downgrade the ps3 with this thing can you downgrade a friends as well? or its one console per flasher?
