Would be great if Rogero made a CFW with cobra features, or DeanK implemented them into MM.
My CFW unit is BC, so it'd be really-really great. I also heard non-BC can still play some titles using software emu which isn't that bad, but worser than BC-console emu.

You can always buy a used PS2. I've seen them for a low as $25 and PS2 games play perfectly on them.

I have 2 PS2, for your reference. I'm just too lazy to hook it up to the TV so PS2 emulation would be great.

But why would you when your PS3 is capable of playing them?

Simple, because running a game under emulation is never as good as it is on original hardware.

You wouldn't say that if you had played ps2 games on the pc in hi-def with anti-aliasing. The emulator Pcsx2 can make a lot of ps2 games look better than they did on the original hardware. (if you have a fast enough pc to play them)

yet there are still moments when games are glitchy on the emu or have some type of limitation on them. Happens with epsxe and definitely happens with the PS2 emulator. Emulating has it's advantages but it will never be perfect unless it's hardware based. Games on the original hardware will almost always be better.

+rep, said it right. Well, it does, but still, hooking a PS2 to Tv every time I want to play a PS2 game is bothersome.
