Thread: mmOS: Multiman like desktop environment [UPDATE v04.40.00 Released!]

did anyone else pay attention to the DEX version read me?? I thought it was pretty interesting:

* mM 04.05.00 BASE/BASEPLUS/FULL required

now all of us on dex have known that multiman opens, we can navigate, make changes in the file manager, etc...but now deank is not only acknowledging this, he says it requires 3.6-4.2 and he left out 3.55!!! Yes, it operates 100% on 3.55, and higher firmware has extremely limited functionality....but he is acknowledging it works on higher fw. Does anyone else think this could possibly mean something??

i try launch 04.05.00 DEX UPD from 3.55dex i can't launch it there's an error message
i wonder what this multiman update can do on 3.60
maybe it can launch new game :p :p
or maybe it will dump decrypted elf to USB

you must install the full version or base for 04.05.00 first

im install full version first and then install update

that update dex can't launch from 3.55 (im running exeedy FW)

interesting...I used 04.05.00 all last night on exceedy's 3.55 dex mfw

I installed the full version, which wouldn't launch above 3.55...so I looked for the dex version (which until now has only been posted at the source site) and now it launches on all firmware versions. Obviously, only 3.55 can load games...but almost everything else runs great on updated dex fw for me.

does it load for you after updating??

i dont test it yet

No, it only means that you can load mM on 3.60-4.20DEX - there is no hidden message. The regular mM works just fine on dex 3.55, but won't work on higher versions, hence this 3mb dex update.

nope it does everything it always has. he's just been going all-out making it pretty much the only tool you'll ever need on a daily basis...and he's done a great job, imo!! I just updated before I converted my console to dex for the first time since 02.09.02, and the difference is amazing!! the game features are all the same...but going from mm file manager to mmOS is like night & day!!
