Just recently we posted about Rebugs Lv2 Loader, which you can read about here.

Today a group of ‘ex sceners’, going by the name of DexL0ve has released a .self that will basically give you some of the usability of DEX(Test) machines, here is a quote from the read me:

For those who want to know. This mean that with this and rebugs l2_tools combined with your CFW retail (CEX) machine, you will be able to run it as if its a test (DEX) machine.

is it true that DEX have like a special usb port that allows anything to be executed? i think is the usb_000 port that allows that

I don't think it converts it to full DEX, Well not yet ;-)

Correct, not full yet from what I gather from the IRCs. But this is a whole lot closer than before. There is a lot of functionality extra we didnt have before. Plus MM released a version for DEX.

Yeah its all slowly coming together ;-), I posted about multiMAN UPD PKG to enable backups on DEX machines too.

Can anyone explain to me the benefit of a DEX compared to retail machine? What added bonus is it? Will it allow PSN access or something (I remember reading about the benefit of DEX machines months back but havent been followign the scene that much since).
