Small Change Made To AT&T’s 3G Data Plans For PlayStation Vita

A short time ago, AT&T officially announced the pricing details for the PlayStation Vita’s US 3G data plans. One of the plans has since been slightly changed.

At CES, AT&T representatives had revealed that the pricing for Vita’s 3G data plans were as follows: $15 for 250MB or $25 for 2GB. Now, the $15 for 250MB plan remains the same, but instead of $25 for 2GB, the other plan is now $30 for 3GB. No other changes to the plans have been made.

The Wi-Fi + 3G PlayStation Vita will be available in the U.S. as part of the First Edition bundle for release on February 15th for $349.99. The bundle includes a 4GB Memory Card, a case, and a copy of Little Deviants. The non-bundled Wi-Fi + 3G Vita will also be available in North America on February 22nd for $299.99.

3G in a 4G era? seriously sony? The Wifi version will be good enough for me once it the scene for it really takes off. till then this can sit on the store shelf. Im sure it will still be there when I get around to it.

how many Gs you need to play online??

this would be fine on EDGE, so... anyway, it´s far too expensive.

Unfortunatly users have reported edge not being able to even stream media. Another user reported tetheing with an edge connection and donload maxing at 192 kbs. Not sure what 3g is but thats not enough for todays gaming online.

What I dont understand is why pay for this if you pay for wifi at home. Your data usage is far higher then 3gb or 2gb

350$ ? they are crazy... its definitely too expensive...
the price is higher than a ps3 in europe... they must go down with the price, the vita sales in japan are very lame because of the price

meh ill just wifi tether from my rooted galaxy SII and bam, my wifi only psp vita, will have free 4g data connection lol

lol that was funny, 4G is a laggy enough gaming experience as it is without you suggesting a 75% slower edge network. if it takes about 5 mins just do a simple google search over edge, you probably wouldn't even be able to sign in psn let alone play online.
