Thread: What´s the best external HD manufacturer

I need advice for what HD to buy. I think I read that WD is the best. I need more opinions. Thanks!

it doesn't really matter (HDDs tend to last forever anyway) just check benchmarks on speed on some sites.
and be sure to shop around, hard drives are very expensive now. though that is only temporary and they should be really cheap by two weeks time.

I have a seagate desktop 2TB (if you get the 3 you have to have multiple partitions to use FAT32)
it's been fine so far, and I have another spare one just in case. if your drive does crap out though make sure you know it's not the case. as you don't have to buy a whole new drive if the case stops giving power. just stick the drive in a new one.
