if anyone could upload a Shell32.dll version 6 0 2900 6072 it would be greatly appreciated. i accidentally patched mine to be able to use downloaded windows xp themes and the unpatcher didn't work, now in not able to change my theme to any other than i already have. i patched my acer aspire. ive already got the stupid noob speech from my brother so i dont need that. thanks in advance.

Hi,

If you can get to safe mode, even with just the command prompt, you can run the system file checker. Type CMD into the start/search line, then right click the menu entry that appears and choose 'run as administrator'. From the prompt, run:

sfc /scannow

This should find and replace and damaged system files, including shell32.dll.

If not then here is the one from my computer.
