Thread: Printer Problems

Seems I have a printer problem. I installed a pirated copy of windows 7 32bit. Well- duh.

It was Windows 7 Lite - Dark Netbook Edition - Ultimate 2011 on my windows 7 pc NOT netbook. The reason was after my system crashed and I tried reinstalled windows. I kept on getting driver errors and crashes again. So I found the lite version with less and it worked. But here is the problem. Printer support is taken out and I want to print. I cant install the full version for the fear of it crashing again.

Start Menu - Device and Printers - Add Printer - Here is what it says (Windows cant add printer. The local spool service is not running. Please restart the spooler and restart the machine. I just reinstalled it today. I know the driver is missing so does anyone know where to find it?

try device doctor.
download, plug in all of your devices and let it run.

it's just for drivers. run(using windows key+R) and type services.msc read the services print spooler should be there and it should be started.
failing that try soluto.(it really helps with program crashes)

nope. Its not it services. It was taken out in the lite version for windows. I didnt want to upgrade cuz my computer has 1gb of ram. so ultimate was slow and the other versions.

Why not just get XP? I find that one is a lot more stable then Vista or 7.

try finding a way to install services from the microsoft support forum.
or look on sourceforge for an open source print service.
