Custom build. Hangs at "loading operating system"
ive just a built a new pc and i cant seem to get it to boot up properly.
i can get into the bios and i get the startup screens and stuff but it just constantly hangs saying "loading operating system"
i installed ubuntu onto one of the hdds using a live cd and i got this error then.
has anyone ever had this before or know how to fix it .
i googled this and the only thing i found was this
The most likely solution is that your HD geometry is set wrong... On many motherboards in the BIOS setting for your HD, it is set to AUTO.. which sometimes tries to use CHS which is incorrect for most modern computers. Manually set it to LBA instead.
this was a solution for the same problem i have but the only thing is in my bios i cant find any option to from auto to lba :/
any help would be greatly appreciated
