    Default Gaming Laptop

I am going to be living in dorms and probably wont be able to take my PS3 with me. I am planning on buying a new laptop this summer, however i haven't really kept up with PC gaming for a while. i have managed to narrow down my options to these laptops

    1) Macbook pro 15inch(i7 2.3Ghz, 4gb ram)
    2) Toshiba qosmio x505 (i7,6gb ram)

i am looking for somthing under $2500 and i have no issues with portability of the machine.any recommendations, Which one should i buy, or is there a better laptop available. NO AlIENWARE laptops pls.

    how about an Origin EON17-S

    Features and Technology

    17.3 Full HD Widescreen, LED, 16.9, 1920 x 1080 - 3D Optional
    3D 17.3 Full HD Widescreen, LED, 16.9, 1920 x 1080 - 3D Optional
    Customizable ORIGIN top cover
    2nd Generation Intel® Core™ i5 Processor or Intel® Core™ i7 Processor
ORIGIN Overclocking up to 4.8GHz with Turbo Boost
Up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 485M 2GB
    Up to 32GB Dual Channel DDR3 1333Mhz or 16GB Dual Channel DDR3 1600MHz
Full size keyboard with numeric pad
HDMI Out; Optical Digital Out, up to 7.1 HD Audio with THX TruStudio support

Starts from $1759, but once you add an i7 and the 485M (the daddy of laptop graphics cards) your looking at $2500 atleast
But personally for gaming I'd build a PC and buy a cheap lappy for hangin and searchin the net while around campus. Would probably be cheaper but way more powerfull
