I dont really know, but since nobody has tried to help you, ill try.
have you EVER taken out a heat sink before?
some are screwed in.
There should be some latches at the top and bottom of the heat sink, just do you best determining which way to unlatch them. remove anything you have to in the computer to get it off.

Flip both the tabs up (So they're both pointing upward)
put a small flathead screwdriver in the holes furthest away from the tabs and slowly turn clockwise. this will get the clip off.
Careful not to: Slip and gouge the MOBO and these clips kinda suck. You may need a new one after taking it off.
(This is info I got from the net after Googleing 'remove heatsink from P4VMA-M' you can also google 'remove heatsink from socket' and put whatever socket you have..478 I think)
