Thread: will my pc support 9800gt 1gb card ?

as long as you have a pci-E x16 slot.
(thats a weak *** card SON, but your whole rig is sorta weak

What demon wrote is true, but you might also need a more powerful powersupply, furthermore I think physicall the card is bigger so you need to check there is space for it inside the machine. :-)

I would also like to add, if you using this machine to game with, the switch between the 8400 and the 9800GT will not be as significant since the other hardware is not up to date.

e7500 has more than enough power to pair up with a 9800gt
and the jump from an 8400gs to a 9800gt is a lot
have you even used those graphics card yourself? im pretty sure not
if you're running at 1024x800 or 1280x1024 9800gt would be enough for you
