Only if you install it before getting a virus.
If you install an AV after getting a virus then the install is more than likely to fail.

Its True. Ever Realized why only A Certain Anti-Virus can detect and Remove A Certain Virus? Well... You get the Point. But its most Likely True.
The Equation:
;D Your Computer is Fine... = ;D No need for Anti-Virus = :'( Anti-Virus Companies Lose Money
:BanG: ??? You Get Infected! = :HmmM: You Buy Anti-Virus = :BanG: :WhIp: The Anti-Virus Pwnz the Virus
:Slob: Anti-Virus people get their Money... Unless :

Well.....In a point of view,it can be true.'cause of the competion, some companies can make viruses & tell only there product can remove that virus. Then people would buy that anti-virus
