Default Help with fat PS2 game swap trick

As the title said, I'm trying to install FMCB using the game swap trick for my fat PS2, using the game Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater, which I own. However, I can't seem to create an .iso image from the DVD. Every time I try using alcohol 120, I get a No Seek Complete error. Imgburn gives me the same error.

Can anyone tell me whats the problem?

And if there isn't a way to solve it, is it possible to download the game from this site and use it instead of trying to make a copy from what I have?

I googled your problem because honestly I've never heard of that error before.
According to the ImgBurn support forums It is caused by sh*tty media.
Buy some good disks and the error should go away.
With DVDs you get what you pay for.
Next time you post this kind of error posting the error log will be helpful in answering your question faster.
Topic moved to PC help as the PS2 can't burn disks.

But I'm not trying to burn a disc, I'm trying to create a backup copy of MGS from my own copy, does that mean my copy is shi**y?

Will downloading a copy of the game from this site work for the game swap trick?

I'm guessing that either your disk is dirty, scratched, smudged, ect. or you need a new DVD-RW drive.

I misread your post, I thought it was while you where trying to burn the game.
Downloading a copy and editing it might work but it might not there is no guarantee.
