Thread: installing game help!

ok, so i downloaded DOOM3 and the expansion. i had installed it, and everything was fine. then i installed the expansion, and everything was fine as well. then i installed the first patch, that came w/ it, and it installed fine. i had noticed, after installing the last patch, (couldve been the first one too) that there were a couple diff shortcuts. so i had decided to re-install the game, to see what then the shortcuts came in, and what they were referring to.
so i used vista to uninstall the xpansion, then the game and deleted the excess shorcuts.
then whenever i put the install disc in, instead of saying "install" it says "uninstall", and i had already done that. but i didnt use the cd to uninstall it. whenever i click to un-install it on the cd, nothing happens. i've used ccleaner to clean the registry, looked for any folders etc leftover. nothing works. wondering if the first patch installed something, to not let my system install the game never seen this b4, help!

i always use a complete uninstaller. like "Your Uninstaller 2010" it uninstalls like normal then will scan and delete ALL traces. ive never had a problem with it. i always get the latest version out.
