Thread: firefox help

ok this is gonna sound weird. i was using a search engine for warez. didnt really do anything else. no downloading, etc, didnt even search the forums. but the status bar on the bottom dissapeared. YES I TRIED TO CHECK/UNCHECK view>status bar. everytime i clicked it on/ off nothing happened. and,, i have 2 tabs open. no stoopid ads,(ie other firefox windows) and i hear a frickin commercial playing now WTF. dude i's serious. this is crazy stuff here. wtf is happening?

is someone hackin my crap here? wtf

ok when im on facebook, it shows "a status bar", but nothing i do will show me the "progress bar" i;e the progress of how much of a page ive downloaded, and what the name is or whatever its doing at the bottom, you know when it says blah connected, transfering data from ect. i had gone offline, and the commercials seemed to have stopped for now, but i still have no progress bar. SCRATCH THAT THE COMMERCIALS ARE STILL HERE. W T F

has anyone seen anything like this ever? they are audio commercials. you know,, right now its playing some stoopid chick song. and no i only have THIS ONE PAGE OPEN IN MY TABS, AND NO OTHER OPEN INSTANCES OF FIREFOX, EXPLORER(yuck) ANYTHING ELSE AT ALL GOIN ON!!! dude really wtf.

ok,, this story is almost at an end now. UPDATE: so,, when i was offline, no commercials obviously. i had downloaded avg free. didnt run it, and then i thought it was a cookie, and i updated ccleaner, when i went to their homepage, THE PROGRESS BAR MAGICALLY APPEARED. (explain that one). even after all the restarting firefox, running norton, etc, only that worked. but anywayz i used ccleaner and got rid of the cookies. we'll see if that stuff comes back, but for now seems alright.

all i wanna know,, is,, have any of you ever heard of such a thing? hope this is a lesson for all.
