Thread: PS2 Extraction Error?

    Default PS2 Extraction Error?

So I've downloaded all 29 parts of Dark Cloud 2.
I'm extracting all the .iso files in one folder right now.
    When extracting, this pops up:
! Write error: only NTFS file system supports files larger than 4 GB
Whats does this mean? How does it affect me? How do I fix this?

Am I extracting wrong? When I try extracting one at a time, it also says this error.
Is there a specific way to extract this? I'm using WinRar.

It means your computer is very old and doesn't support files over 4Gb because of the way your hard drive is formated (FAT32). You could use Partition Magic to create a NTFS partition, buy a new hard drive or reformat the one you have.

I have Partition Magic 8.0. How do I use this to create a NTFS partition? And what does Partition Magic do anyway?

An easier way would be just to buy a 8-46 GB flash drive, when you choose a place to extract it just choose the flash, and burn it from there. And if you want to save a copy of your game, compress it with 7-zip. it compresses a 4.64 GB file to 2.6 MB.

    That is incorrect and impossible.

Ok, so I used Partition Magic to make a primary NTFS drive. It's capacity is 5GB. So I'm extracting all my Dark Cloud parts into one folder on my NTFS drive. I've notice that winrar will replace the .iso. Like when I extracted the 1st part, it was fine. When I'm extracting the 2nd part, it asks me to replace it or something... How do I join the 2 parts together?

it creates patitions on your hard drive, which basically means splitting one hard drive to act as 2 physical hard drives

you only have to extract the first file... if the other .rar are in the same folder it will get the info automatically
