    Default good defragmentor

    i have defraggler, and i installed it on my comp and my roomates that i just fixed up. so i was curious, and showing her how to use it, i analyzed her hardrive. it was 25% fragmented, after i installed windows like 14 hourse b4. yeah a lil weird i know. so i defragged it, analyzed it again. and low and behold, its still fragmented. i ran it on mine like 6 times. each time i analyze it on mine, its like 25% or more. one time it actually said it got all of it. then i analyzed it right after lol 35%. starting to think either defraggler sux, and the analyzer doesnt work, or maybe some sort of virus goin through fragmenting my files. but that doesnt explain why her comp is doing the same thing. think im over defraggler. no one in the reviews has my problem either. yes its the newest vers.

    oh yeah, while i was workin on her pc, i had to use a cracked vers of alcohol 120. i downloaded it here, from a post called alcohol120 full vers. i opened it up, and it was a trojan i think. right after that, my computer wouldnt recognize my cd drive. now norton wont recognize it. i had used a fix i got from hp. but norton wont recognize my drive still. thinkin bout using a backup. just thought i'd let you know bout it. i dont see the post though. it was in the pc/apps section

    If you wanted alc120 for burning iso's, I suggest just supporting good free software like imgburn. If you wanted it for mounting iso's, well that's another story. With legit free software (the malware free kind), you don't have to worry about things like that. Infact, myself, I am confidant enough to not need any virus scanning software at all since first off, I run linux, and on my dual boot vista, I don't download/install questionable material, and use mostly opensource or freeware software. What I use:

    Photoshop = The Gimp
    alc120/easy cd creater/whatever = imgburn
    microsoft office = openoffice.org
    any messenger = pidgin
    dvd/movie/audio/streaming audio and video = vlc
    web browser = firefox or opera or links2
    voip = skype
    etc etc, these are just a few to get people started. What's the difference between this software and just downloading and cracking commercial software? Well first off, many cracks have unseen malwares/viruses attached. You could be turning your computer into a botnet slave, or handing over your personal information without your millions of scanners even knowing. No scanner detects it all, because some things out there *still* aren't detected. But don't open yourself up to it with downloading cracks.
