    Default Laptop advice

    Hello everyone,
Im looking to buy a new laptop as mine just bit the dust.
My budget is around 1000euros and I wanna keep the price as low as possible. I multitask quite a bit(multiple windows open).
Also, i occasionally play some high end games and really like Console emulation.
Ive looked at the Gateway® P-7805u FX Edition and gateway in general.
Im havent much experience with this brand, anything I need to know, Advantages/Disadvantages, does it suit my demands?
Also feel free to tell me of any other good laptop that fits the criteria.

In the past gateways were good. In general most of the laptops use the same kind of chips inside (cheap chips). If your really wanting to waste lots of money get yourself a sony for no reason at all.

I would recommend at least a 4gb+ Ram
Hard Drive = 400gb+ since you do the emulations and they require space (but 200gb+ should be fine if ur not a heavy gamer)
processor = up to you but 2.0ghz+ (single core, so dual core be around 4ghz+)
good graphics card = 256mb+ dedicated ram itself +additional shared ram if possible
32 bit vs 64 bit = same as before, up to you; 64 bit programs are bit harder to find however they can support 32bit

as for the brand, acer (cheaply made but good on budget), gateway (cheap and the reputation is down), apple (cheap and overpriced), sony (overpriced), toshiba (i own one, have no problems with it), hp (good brand, more popular) ... and whatever else i missed

    I buy cheap laptops :/
my cq60-215dx plays all but like codWaW and crysis pretty good, after I ripped out vista and stuck in xp64/ubuntu64...

I have seen stuff on newegg you might like though, SLI laptops! Though a bit pricey
