    Default FREEZING - Matrix 1.93 on SCPH90010

I've had a 7 years old 70001 modded until one month ago. Sadly, it ... died... :(
The chip was an even older pirate matrix that wouldn't even update.
Then, I got myself a 90010 modded with matrix 1.93... and this new relationship is complicated. Some of the old backup games that were running just fine in a 7 years old ps2 just keep freezing. Tekken 5 doesn't go beyond the "namco" screen. DBZ Sparking Meteor will take a whole minute to go from the "press start" sceen to the "mode select" screen. I have tried different games with different disc conditions (some more scratched/damaged than others) but that doesn't appear to be the issue.
Have anyone else suffered from something like this? Is there a cure for this plague?
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for your attention, darksergio.
Actually I discovered what the problem was: this new model does not read all kind of media as the old one used to. I ripped the iso right from the problematic disks and then burned it on emtec and verbatim media. Worked PERFECTLY.
There goes the possible sollution to anyone who may have this problem.
    Best regards
