    Default Gold dvd and Mod-Chips

    Hello,

I have a fat modded ps2 and bought it 3-4 years I guees. However, lately I decided to burn some iso and try them on my ps2. Some of them worked and some didn't. I noticed that the ones that worked are giving my laser a hard time coz all I hear is some loud annoying constant clicking sound. [tick tick tick].

It's very weird that this never never happens with my pirated games that I buy from the chinese street sellers. I mean those professional pirated games with a gold color dvd surface and a cd cover etc. Of course the original games should work and they are working perfectly fine.. but what I don't really get is what is the difference between the iso games I burn and the professional pirated games that I buy from those chinese retails.

I have few silver/white sony and imation DVD-R games I bought from the chinese street sellers.. and yeah they also have the same problem.. but never with the golden ones !

The only conclusion I can get to is that what I believe there is that there is something about the 'Gold' color dvd and the mod-chips, which I'm guessing, makes them more compatible with each other ?? or is it the way they burn them ?

    Thanks,
