PS3 noob wishing for help
Hi out there. I wanted to be able to use homebrew and maybe use a backup manager for my games only to hit a wall.
You see, I recently went and bought the E3 Flasher Limited edition from Modchipcentral without looking into my 160 gb PS3 model only to realize that I have the dreaded CECH-3001A, which as far as I have searched the net, hasn't been hacked by anyone. Now I'm $90 in the hole since Modchipcentral has a no returns policy unless someone is willing to buy it from me. I never opened any of the plastic the items were sealed in; just the box was opened to see if everything was there. I would like to get most of my money back if someone wants to buy. I'd prefer PayPal if you're willing to buy.
Unless someone tells me to just hold onto this flasher to see if someone else can hack the 3001 model, I will be trying to sell this off to someone. I will need a good reason to not sell it off so soon.
If you suggest I'd sell off my PS3 for an older model, I'd really would not want to go through that again after my old 60 gb ps3 gave me the YLOD and I sold it off through eBay as fixing costs were too high for me to pay. I don't want another period of no PS3; plus, how would I back up all my saved games and the downloads from PSN? Could I use a FAT32 hard drive?

We do NOT offer a platform to trade goods. Use eBay or other services for that!
Read the Rules.

Sorry, moderator. I just want some information. So now I know not to offer goods, can I get my other question answered?
Should I keep the E3 flasher and wait and see, or sell my new PS3 and get a older model that can be converted for homebrew use?

I dont know how to help as you are located in the USA, if you were in the UK there are lots of places to locate a 3.XX 160 GB PS3
HD XMB Multiman Divx Motion Themes
