Thread: Not Just Another Newbie (read it and see)

Much love to the gamers and very much love to the people who make it possible for us all to play games that we would have bought a game at the release date (if something important) but somewhere down the line want to trade it in and get basically raped by the store who give us a fraction of the price back.

I had an xbox360 (red lights happened a few times) and i had sworn if that happens again i would buy a ps3 , so i did , then i learned all about the whole jailbreak thing and in no time the console had paid for itself and the 3 Xbox360's that i lost because of it (it's funny when you think of it , the major damage to us is when the ps3 Firmware 3.60 came out) so i have been on alot of forums but i kept entering stuff i want to find out about on google and investigating and alot of what i was seeking was mentioned here so i thought maybe join in and help try to make a specific game work on 3.55 but i realize that alot of people are working their butts off to make a new CFW which i'd love to be able to help with but basically the only thing i can do is come up with an idea or something , people will maybe think "stupid noob" , i really want to contribute to anything i can because i was the one waiting for a fix and downloading it and making sure i told the person how grateful i am but now i want to do my best to give back , not for any glory at all , it would be more like "here , i fixed this , it will fix yours , one love"

But sadly my latest missing to fix a game was Sonic Generations and yes i know the demo trick but it wont save so i was working like crazy trying but nothing worked , the USDIR folder has a folder called disc in it that could maybe work by using what duplex does to make PSN packages of the latest Driver game by using the demo and because that works , why not add ALL the folders to them by adding or replacing what is missing (beware of the Genesis file) leaving the E BOOT and PARAM.SFO alone and playing it from the hard drive. using a direct install of the all new pkg being made BUT that would probably not happen because of the disc folder (just thinking out loud because it's all im thinking about and messing around with) or maybe making it possible to install it buy putting the files out of the folder and into the main USDIR.
I don't play it using the pkg anymore , i ordered the jailbreak 2 TB dongle in the hope that i am giving back to people who develop things which leads to a new CFW which the amount of people working like heck on a new CFW a home run shortcut i hope.
I think that ISO is going to be the way now , there's already 2 or 3 that i have seen , Portal 2 , Dirt 3 , Sonic Generations (yes , i was THAT desperate and i would have bought a second ps3 but i'm moving to Canada so no point) , So if this new jb device delivers , i still would have got my money back because looking at the prices of games and certain titles i definitely would buy which im being real about the games that i like which are Sonic , WWE12 , definitely i would be buying the next Naruto game because i am such a big fan of everything Uzumaki Naruto and other games but those 3 would be a definite get on release date if had to from a store those are the games i love and Dead Rising which i should ask has Dead Rising 2 been fixed yet ? because that was the one i was so happy about coming out on the ps3 dead rising 2 which i also would have bought , i hope they make a ps3 version of the first one because it was so awesome which i can see happening since Frank was the main character on the Xbox360 original , Maybe they will release it on the PS3 based on sales , i don't know if it was or not haha. I would have bought Dead Island but i just thought it would be a rip off from dead rising but if there is a Fix for that , or the dead rising 2 Fix if there is one , could someone who knows of it , let me know , you'd have a friend for life lol.

Bit yeah , i guess what im trying to say is that i would love to be able to learn how to fix games , im still using the multiman version so again , if anyone knows of a better way or specific files i should look out for , i really do want to learn and give back to our community , i'm sick of all these *****y comments in other forums , there's nothing but ungratefulness comments people make in other forums and seeing as i'm trying to fix games , maybe someone who knows something about that and we can form a band of brothers (and sisters) doing what you are and hopefully i will be doing which is coming up with something because i know nothing about PUP i just stick to what i can and there has been alot of games released and then been fixed i have already done my own version by checking the files but all games are different , which is why i actually closed my other ps3 forum accounts and i'm basing myself here because i hope to learn about things more and you guys know what you are talking about and because this is an introduction which will lead to a couple of hi and welcome messages not saying anything but if you have read this far , thank you , the basics of me is that i really don't want to leech , i want to help and i know there will be a lot of good teachers out there that just might send me a message we can exchange ideas or you teaching me and me saying "would this maybe work ?" , that would mean the world to me , because it would show alot of unity for us.

Well , guess that's the big intro , if you got through all that , i really appreciate it , if you skimmed over it and just said hello "**** you" hahahah , just kidding , i'm not like that , i like to joke around alot as well as be serious but i thought for the first part i would speak from the heart and just wind it up with something that might crack a smile so , we are at the finish line for now.

I'm actually the opposite to you right now, I bought myself an XBOX 360 the other day, just getting it flashed now. Xboxes' made after 2008 are alot likely to fail and get RROD as long as you take care of it.

In the XBOX360 scene, every game is playable, no need for patches or anything, just burn and play, simple as, and if you're JTAGGED you can play off int/ext HDD.

I think you're moving backwards by jumping into the PS3 scene, and buying a dongle that most probably won't last more than a month.

Because i seek acknowledgement and self worth this way because i have had the ps1 ps2 and ps3 , and i want to help or come up with ideas that might help fix some games here and making new friends who can teach me things and make some new friends in the process.

Welcome Dead Rising 2 does not need a fix. If you're using 3.55, it actually runs on multiman without a Bluray. But you meant 'DR2: Episode Case West' right? Yeah not fixed yet, if you're on 3.41 go to violentcris' thread in 'FIXES' and it will have all your replacement eboot needs. If you're on a dongle you should get some spoofing software.

Also to prevent updating block the words playstation and sony in your routers settings, or block the update urls to stop you from being able to update.
