    Default Hello

Hi to all. I am new to ps2iso but ive been to pspiso so i have an idea what to do on this one. Now i got a couple of questions a mod or someone knolageable can answer. Ok since im new to the ps2 "hacking" seen what exactly do you need im hearing from dif places you need a mod chip some say you do not idk. second question can you use a mass storage divice such as a pen drive to emulate this stull. On youtube this guy said all you need to do it put a file called load.ps2 and it will launch on your ps2? i am not so sure about that one. Now the final question is do you need a dvd burner to have games. I have one so its not much of a problem but if i can save some money on just using CD-RW's that would be great. Well thanks for taking the time to read my post and questions

Hey bro, welcome to the forums here! As for your questions, I'll try my best... even though I'm no expert.

You can either use a Mod Chip or most people use Swap Magic 3 with either a modified Flip top lid (most places online that sell the Swap Magic Disks might include a PS2 Flip Top for an additional $10 or so) or a set of Magic Switches (also called Magic Keys) to trick the PS2 into thinking it is closed so you can swap out a disk. I don't think so, but if you look at the Tutorials sections then maybe you could find something. I haven't done so, I'm happy with Swap Magic, but I guess others have.

YES. You will need a DVD burner because the games are DVD based. I recommend DVD+R. Most brands will work fine as long as they aren't cheap-o brands or DVD Media made for movies. I use MagicISO to burn games and it has worked flawlessly for me. Other have used Alcohol 120% and even Nero. I don't recommend Nero personally.... but you can if you want.

As always, giving +Karma is always appreciated around here... same with the PSP site. Hope I've helped, if you have any other questions then just post them in the Help Section and (hopefully) somebody can answer them for you. Welcome to the site! Enjoy!

    Three problems.
    1. This isn't the help section.
    2. You hijacked the thread.
    3. This topic is over 2 years old.
In the future please post properly and in the proper section.
Also read the tutorial section, those questions have been answered there.
