Default Trash Closed Threads (especially in NEWS)

I have noticed an increasing number of well, sh!tty threads, by fakes/trolls that end up in a flame-fest, and eventually gets locked, then my question is, why dont mods trash these threads?

    Examples:
    http://www.ps3iso.com/playstation-ne...oming-3-a.html
    Death of True Blue PAWN
How True Blue works (possible method for 3.55 games revealed?

And it's not only in News section, other sections as well. I would understand keeping the threads if there's some good info in there, but if it's just some fake/trolling/flaming...why keep them?

    Thanks

I do normally trash them myself. However, I usually have a waiting period before I do unless it's just a flat out crazy thread. I do forget to trash them sometimes though. Thanks for the suggestions!

    Late response but w.e..

I like to keep locked threads in their sections for at least a day or 2 so people can still read the OP (if it was interesting) or the responses (if it's lulzworthy.) Sometimes I forget the thread is still there and it takes awhile to trash. I do try to make it a point to clear all sections first 2 pages of locked threads.. When I get around to it.

I shall lock this thread now. huzzah!
