Thread: A request for our beloved mods/admins

Its kinda annoying how News threads get moved to the "ps3 downloads" section before they even run their course. Even if we are providing a download link we are still reporting the release. It causes unnecessary redundancy/confusion for the folks helping with the news and its even a further disservice to our users as a lot of them never get a chance to become aware of the release in the 1st place (at least on this site). Alot of people rely on this site very much (myself included) to keep us posted on the scene developments. My goal personally is helping ensure as much as I can that ps3iso.com is a all in one stop for news so people don't have to go to 10 other sites to stay posted. For these reasons, I highly recommend waiting till the thread goes to the second page before moving it. Thanks for hearing me out.

I guess you will have case to case situations like that too. However, even some multiman releases deserve a chance to run their course in the news. Like for example next weeks release with a fully functional ps2 emu incorporated lol

New programs, applications, hacks, releases; that's news. An app that gets updated every 3 days isn't news. You're asking us to let an update "run it's course" in news before moving it. You're asking us to babysit threads to see how many views/replies they receive or what page they're on before moving them where they belong when you can just as easily check the applications section? Yeah, sure why not. If the other mods want to move that showtime thread back to news, go ahead.

Im not asking you guys to "babysit" threads but no disrespect intended, isnt that kinda what a mod's responsibility is in order to maintain order and the integrity of the content offered on the site they moderate? I'm simply just suggesting a method to help balance the situation but its obviously up to the individual on how they heed this. If you read my last post I actually agree with you but just ask that people don't dismiss threads right away simply because they are one of many releases. I don't care about the showtime post, Its just helping with the news I ran into that same prob on a couple occasions and im sure u guys are tired of redundant posts so i tried to offer a solution thats all really. Thanks for your input on this.

I already addressed this issue from the Showtime thread. I stated that the past posts about this & other apps(releases) were always posted in the News section. I do agree with chillin though. If it's an app like MM & Showtime being updated it doesn't need to be in the News section.

That's not how material like this was going though. However, I do think it's the right thing to do. These situations deserve to be in the Apps section & not the News. New material about apps and/or real NEWS certainly needs to be posted in the News section. Thanks!
