Besides, people would want to know how i did it, did i exploit a game update? did sony screw up again? Did i get my hands on a Sony SDK and manually port it over to 3.55 myself? e.t.c.
in that case you would post it in the news section after you are done.
the only way speedy news can be pushed through is by users.

but u previously said it wasnt news worthy unless a bunch of games released at once lol.

@venomousx i think what popman said earlier was pretty straight forward and hard to misinterpret. ''new fixes go in the scrolling game bar at the top of the site. it's not news unless there is a big bunch of them at once'' I only disagree with the part in bold because i believe any game fix is news worthy, whether its 20 game fixes at a time or its just 1 game fix its still ps3 scene news regardless

Good discussion guys, +rep to both of you

The year of the xbox has arrived! From here on out, the true blue team can wait by themselves for game fixes!

I meant it's pointless to put every game in individually unless there is some cool new way you re doing it for each title.
still, if you feel it's necessary to make a thread you should.
though the mods may disagree and move it. (usually on the grounds of the section being flooded.)

I think every single game that gets a fix should have 1 major thread that someone should maintain and have it stickied.. I don't think we need a new thread pop up every time a new game is working. Then again, I was working on maintaining 1 single mega news thread with links to all other news posts and I got lazy with that very quickly so whatevs..

Just report a thread if you think it's in the wrong section and wait 10 hours for someone to respond to it.

but, that would mean hundreds of stickied posts.
I think it would be easier to have new games put in the bar on top. and any information on how it was fixed in general chat. if it's newsworthy it could be moved to news

What? No. 1 thread. Maintained by 1 person.

oh. I thought you meant one thread per game.
though your idea is workable. but it would be just as easy to allow the thread runner to add titles to the new game bar

too much work on both yourself and the users of this site... a new game(s) being fixed is news worthy enough for its own thread. If duplex releases 6 games on tuesday then on tuesday there should be one news thread up letting us know that 6 more games are playable on cfw. If they come out with another game friday then there should be a separate news thread up on friday letting us know that duplex has followed up on their efforts and given us another game. not just one sticky news thread thats gonna stay dead with nothing but people flaming each other for months at a time thats just gonna end up to be a huge mess of people having to shift through pages of comments to find some news until a mod updates the front page of the thread to include the latest scoop of games. And like i mentioned before, the game being fixed might have a interesting story about it that people might want to know about (sony screwing up the update, files taken from a different region version of the game, e.t.c) You guys really act like new games come out everyday or something. C'mon guys, a new game coming out for us is easily at least worth a shout in the news given the downtime this scene has endured. Game fixes are definately more worthy of a shout in the news than stuff like SCE Jack Buser Talks Exclusives“Invested More in Our FirstParty Studios than Nintendo lol

it's still news. post more if you want to.
or report it if you think it belongs somewhere else. though the mods may disagree and leave it where it is. it's their call. (hopefully the right one, but not always)
though this thread is a great example of user feedback (if it gets read) if this wasn't here the site would rip itself apart. much like psx scene
