    Default Modding a ps2 90001 for imports? :S

    Hi!! How many people have asked for help on the same problem as me? Lots!!! But anyways, back to the main topic.

    Okay so, I just bought an import game from Japan and I'd love to try to play it on my PS2. However, as we all know, a PS2 here don't play other games from other regions leh. I know what modding is, but I have never done it before and I would like to learn. My model is a PS2 Slim 90001. Nobody seems to have a clear or proper tutorial on modding a ps2 like mine, nor one even remotely helpful. Sooo, I just want to know if someone could help me out? And is there a way I can do it without a Magic Swap or anything in that specific genre of magical disks :o ? Because I don't feel like spending the money on something if it is completely useless (for my ps2 in this case) or in the end I didn't have to purchase it in the first place. If it is such a necessity that you must have a Magic Swap in order to complete such a task, then fine i'll do it. But as of right now, I just need some help with what i've got!!

    Oh and as far as I know, anything that was/is a useful tool for people with older versions of the system doesn't work on mine or above. Peachy.

    If you need anymore information on my system, please notify me when you respond. I'll be happy to grab anything or even take some photos if it may help~!

    Well if your console has 8a or 8b on the sticker you can install Free MCboot on it, if it has 8c then it may or may not have the right bios. If you can't install FMCB then I'd say Swap Magic is your best option, you can also get an AR Max EVO to run uLauchELF then use it to boot ESR or OPL, or you could put in a mod chip.

    If you happen to be talking about it's date code, unfortunately, it's 0D.... D: I assume I will not be able to mod, no? :S

    You just won't be able to install Free Mcboot, look into the other options I mentioned.
