Thread: any one miss last gen ?

yea so first what's up guys i'am new i didn't post that much but i thought i would .

and i was wondering does any 1 still miss the days when you had just sat with ur good old ps2 where u just played GOW or SOTC or battling with the controls wires or just throwing the controller out of confusion . i know the next gen is better in terms of graphics and yes new game ideas but i just feel that the devs. last gen really cared about the consumer and not his pocket i sure miss it . wondered if u did too :HmmM:

god yes, the story lines of games have just die

some of the psx games where the best story and gameplay wise,

I wish they would remake some of em' on the new systems

its funny but this issue always comes up when next gen systems pop up. I felt it for the first time when the psx showed up. I started to miss the good old nes and snes gaming days. gameplay was simple but fun. apparently when a new gen system arrives game developers focus more on flashy graphics and complex control systems, rather then on good old fun gameplay.

Thats why I love games like ICO, SotC, and Okami, the ones that have the graphics and more importantly, the story

apparently all games are multiplatform now FF13 , DMC . RE 5 . the only decent games in my opinion that came out are MGS 4 and maybe resistance and uncharted .

most games are shooters not that their bad but it's like this . when re 4 came out it inspired gears of war gears of war system is now the base of every shooter i guess the cover system is good and yes it's gore is the best but how about some variety i haven't seen any game that scratches new ground .

also blockbuster that be good like gta iv aren't san adreas was better it had more customization the city was big like u had the option to make ur guy bulky or fat but gta iv only gives good graphics , multi player , and a car wash to make ur car squicky clean big wow . but i don't know maybe it's like luisoman2000 said thast it would take time to get used too.

It's all about the benjamins, boloo. Development costs are higher than ever, and in order to recoup the millions spent, platform exclusivity becomes harder to pull off. It's nothing new really, it seems to me there have only been a handfull of franchises through the years that have maintained system fidelity.

true but u got admit sony could have kept it's exclusives by simply getin some cash out of their pockets . micro soft kept all of it's exclusives by that although i dislike microsoft cause their not reliable but they made a good job keepin their exclusives. but hey wait sony's ps3 wasn't hacked and the 360 was wonder if thats will change anything soon ?. and i also hope ps3 gets hacked wonder why it's so hard to hack it .

I miss my good old spectrum :(, as for PS3, i dont have one yet but i will eventually and then comes collectign all the games for it :D

It is slowly getting cracked, there was news last month about it, the hash/checksums which caused lotsof issues with flashign the firmware to anything not signed by sony has been cracked. Which will open up alot of new possibilities for the custom firmware creators and hacks.

yea until re 5 and a hack and the price drop for the ps3 comes up it'll be having quality time with my ps2 lol . 8)
