does anyone use backtrack 5?
Hi all,
I was just wondering if anyone uses backtrack 5?, And if anyone wants to team up to crack some .cap/handshake files?.
I was the orignal finder of the Tiscali default router algorithm, And now I'm looking into the BTHomeHub2 default router algorithm.
I have a, Wait for it, A SONY VAIO VPCEC1S1E! LOL
I have the ATI SDK and PYRIT installed and working, My setup is can crunch through about 11000 passwords a second.
PM me if you're interested.

lol...sounds like he wants to crack the neighbor's wifi
Backtrack is nice, man...I wish I could just implement a lot of the tools they include into a standard linux distro, though, since I've never even used most of the stuff they include.

Nah, I wished it would be that quick for me :D.
I've calculated that it would take me about 7730 odd hours to run through 4TB wordlist at 11000 passwords a second.
But I'm working on a way to speed things up. :D

Close, But its not for me, I have my own! LOL
You can to a degree, I think most of the tools are open source, Setting up certain things could be a bit tricky though. LOL
I think backtrack 5 :rock:s, It beats backtrack 1 2 3 & 4 hands down, Its the daddy of all distro's! LOL

I'm making a wordlist for the BTHomeHub2, I'm trying to reduce the wordlist as much as possible by deleting all useless combinations.
In 3 days ive managed to shave 20gb off the orignal wordlist, I know its not much at the moment, But its a start, and im sure I can improve on that over time. :D.

Progress is going well, I just removed 90GB of useless passwords from the list, That makes a total of 120GB so far, The list is getting smaller and cracking BTHomeHub2 in a short time is now looking more realistic.

Time for me to get some sleep i think, I've not slept for 3 days and im getting grummpy.

i think you will have better chance sneaking into whomever house it is and writing it down lol
