So I want to buy a psp now but I want to hack it (or is it called jb?)
anyway I tried searching on the internet but its all over the place
which model should I get?
Will this hack last even if I restart the psp? (I keep hearing about this but I just don't get it)
and anything else I need to know?

actually no, nobody goes to pspiso.com anymore and the few that do wont help you with a damn thing (this coming from a guy with several unresponded to threads over there, dont waste your time seriously)
just google it honestly
I got 2 modded psps and from what I can recall ANY psp 1000 (the phatties) can be modded, about half the slim psps can be modded, its a crap shoot with the new psps unless theres been a devolopment havent paid attn since i modded mine
make sure to get the blue sandisk memory stick duo when you goto hack it... others (including offical sony brand) will NOT WORK.

I've been googling but I'm not getting the complete information. psp 3000 seems to be hackable but I'm not sure whether I have to activate it after every reboot. also there seem to be hacks without the use of a pandora's battery but it doesn't say which firmware or which models it works on and stuff... its totally confusing.

well from memory all psp 1000s are hackable, some psp 2000 (slims) are hackable depends on the mobo... all 3000 series are semi hackable in that you have to hack it everytime to play a game which gets tedious
theres software now that can turn your normal battery into a pandora one, I used that it.
slims are cool in that its a full hack and the slims have the tv output... thats what i got... if you wnat that the safest way is to get one of the star wars psp 2000, those are all hackable (white psp with darth vader helmet on back)
if you dont care about tv output and dont want to fool with the headaches of hacking a psp3000 or pspgo just get a old psp 1000 they are all hackable regardless of firmware and very easy to do (can use normal battery and the blue sandisck memory stick duo)
fyi... i didnt belive people that ONLY sandisk cards work.. so paid more and got a 8gb sony card... only to get home and see yeah even tho its offical sony and not some cheap off brand... still didnt work... you can use other cards for storage after the hacking is done no prob but to do the actual hacking get the 2gb sandisk blue memory stick duo works like a champ

I GOT A PSP 3000 SERIES WITH 6.35 PRO A AND B INSTALLED WITH ABOUT 100 PSP GAMES, THE 3000 SERIES IS WHAT I USED!!!
-
6.35 pro b requires that you do not have to run the software every time!!
-
Listen all the psp out now are hack-able up to the latest firmwire. But if I were you I would check for a psp with ofw 6.20 because you can permanently install cfw over there.
